Alex returned to the point-scoring positions in Saudi Arabia last time out — and he will be eager to secure another top-ten finish at the upcoming Miami GP.
Our Thai racer recently enjoyed a weekend off following his P9 placing at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, but is keenly awaiting his return to action in Florida.
Sunday’s Grand Prix offers an opportunity to claim points for the fifth time this season, as Albono looks to build on the 20 he has already accrued in 2025.
Here’s everything you need to know about AA23’s first stateside sojourn of the campaign…
Previous trips to Miami
The first-ever Miami Grand Prix took place in 2022, and Alex enjoyed his maiden trip to Miami International Autodrome.
He finished P9 on that occasion — his second points haul since joining Williams Racing earlier that year, having placed P10 in Australia just two rounds earlier.
That result in Florida was all the more impressive because Albono started just 18th on the grid, before mounting an impressive climb during Sunday’s race.
And though Alex’s following two visits to the city weren’t quite as productive, he will nonetheless harbour hopes of matching — or even bettering — his first result in Miami this weekend.
Track guide
The Miami International Autodrome is perhaps one of Formula 1’s most captivating venues — despite its relative youth — located within the Hard Rock Stadium complex in Miami Gardens.
This high-speed circuit twists around the aforementioned stadium, as well as an artificial marina, to add an undoubted sense of glamour to proceedings.
Stretching across 5.412 km (3.363 miles) and with 19 turns, Sector 1 features long straights and tight corners, before a fast start to Sector 2 leads into a relentless set of turns and a testing chicane.
A lap then concludes with a long straight run into Turn 17, ahead of a left hairpin that comes a short distance before the finish line.
Alex’s thoughts
"Miami is always a unique experience," Albono has shared ahead of the weekend. "The atmosphere is incredible, and it's a race that everyone looks forward to.
"It’s a sprint weekend which adds another layer of complexity and challenge; with limited time to fine-tune the car, we'll need to be sharp from the first session.
"Carlos and I worked well together in Saudi Arabia and the teamwork paid off with more points on the board. We’re in a strong place, so we’ll be looking to keep up the positive energy and execute cleanly to maximise our potential this weekend."

FP1 kicks off at 12.30pm local time (EDT) on Friday, but that’ll be the only practice session available to AA23 and his fellow drivers.
That’s because it’s a Sprint weekend, with Sprint Qual also taking place on Friday at 4.30pm.
The Sprint race itself then gets started at 12pm on Saturday, ahead of Qualifying at 4pm. The main race will commence at 4pm EDT on Sunday.
