We’re only a matter of days into 2026, but attention is already turning to the upcoming Formula 1 season.
With new regulations and a solid platform to build on after last year’s exploits, there’s certainly plenty of excitement ahead of Alex’s fifth campaign with the Atlassian Williams F1 Team.
And there’s not long to wait until our Thai racer is back behind the wheel once again, with a five-day Pre-Season Test taking place in Barcelona from 26th-30th January.
That will be our first glimpse of Williams’ new FW48 car, but we won’t get to see Alex’s 2026 livery until that’s unveiled a few days later — on Tuesday 3rd February, to be precise.
It’s then time for more testing, with a double-header of pre-season tests taking place in Bahrain from 11th-13th February and 18th-20th February.
Anticipation is sure to be at fever pitch as we head down under for the first race of 2026, with the Australian GP set to open proceedings from 6th-8th March — as it did last season.
That’s followed by the Chinese GP (13th-15th March) and Albono’s birthday celebrations a few days later (23rd March), before the month’s final action at the Japanese GP in Suzuka (27th-29th March).
April sees the campaign move to the Middle East for the Bahrain GP (10th-12th April) and Saudi Arabian GP (17th-19th April), with Songkran, the Thai New Year, falling between those two events from 13th-15th April.
North American followers of Alex will have to wait until the following month before he visits the United States and Canada, with Grands Prix in Miami and Montreal pencilled in for 1st-3rd May and 22nd-24th May, respectively.
Then it’s back across the Atlantic for a run of nine straight European races, taking us all the way through the summer shutdown and up to mid-September.
The first of those events are as follows: Monaco GP (5th-7th June), Barcelona-Catalunya GP (12th-14th June), Austrian GP (26th-28th June) and Williams’ home race at Silverstone from 3rd-5th July.
Alex’s partner Lily celebrates her birthday in this period, too, on Tuesday 16th June.
Races in Belgium (17th-19th July), Hungary (24th-26th July), the Netherlands (21st-23rd August), Italy (Monza - 4th-6th September) and Spain (Madrid - 16th-18th September) wrap up the campaign’s European leg, before we move to the borders of Asia for the Azerbaijan GP from 24th-26th September.
The business end of the season starts to draw into view from October, with the closest race to Alex’s home nation of Thailand — the Singapore GP — getting underway in the Garden City from 9th-11th October.
A return to the Americas will take Albono to Austin (23rd-25th October), Mexico City (30th October - 1st November), São Paulo (6th-8th November) and Las Vegas (19th-21st November).
Things then draw to a close in the familiar settings of Qatar and Abu Dhabi, with the year’s final races scheduled for 27th-29th November and 4th-6th December.
There’s certainly plenty of excitement in store over the coming 12 months, so strap in and enjoy the ride as Alex looks to make a major impact with Williams in 2026!
