Formula 1 heads to Singapore this weekend for the final stop of the triple-header, with Alex Albon returning to the Marina Bay Street Circuit for another night under the lights.
The Singapore Grand Prix brings the first night race of the 2026 season, while the weekend will also feature the final Sprint of the year, meaning there will be plenty of track action!
With Sprint Qualifying on Friday, the Sprint and Grand Prix Qualifying on Saturday and the race on Sunday, there will be plenty of competitive sessions to keep an eye on across the weekend.
His thoughts:
"Singapore feels like a home race, and I always look forward to coming back here. The atmosphere under the lights is unreal, and I love seeing all the fans both at track and at our activations in the city.”
“It's also one of the toughest weekends physically. It's hot, humid, and bumpier since it is a street circuit. With this race being a Sprint weekend for the first time, we've only got one practice session before we're straight into it, so we'll need to hit the ground running.”
“It's the last race of the triple header too, so the whole team has been working hard to get here. Hopefully we can finish it off with a strong weekend."

The track:
The Marina Bay Street Circuit is a unique street circuit around Singapore's Marina Bay, with the city skyline providing the backdrop for one of the most recognisable races on the F1 calendar.
At 5.063km in length, the circuit features 23 corners and will see the drivers complete 62 laps on Sunday. Its bumpy street surface and hot, humid conditions make it one of the more physically demanding circuits of the season.
The track's layout combines high speed sections with tighter corners, leaving the drivers with little room for error.
Previous outings:
Alex has raced at the Singapore Grand Prix five times in Formula 1, making his debut at the Marina Bay Street Circuit in 2019.
His best result came on that first appearance, finishing P6 with Red Bull Racing. He returned to Singapore with Williams in 2022, with his best finish coming in 2023 after finishing P11. He also finished P14 last time around.
Alex retired from the race in both 2022 and 2024, leaving him with one of his more varied records around the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
The weather:
Singapore is set for a warm weekend under the lights, with temperatures staying around 31–32°C throughout the three days.
October marks the end of Singapore’s Southwest Monsoon, bringing a greater chance of thunderstorms. With the Grand Prix taking place after dark, changing conditions could still play a part.
