Alex appeared at the Atlassian Williams Racing Fan Zone in Singapore in late September, where he answered a series of questions from supporters who were in attendance.
Albono was quizzed on everything from his favourite food to his top team-mate, at the event in Marina Square ahead of Round 18.
So, with AA23 set for another Fan Zone Q&A in Austin on Wednesday, here are five things we learnt from his previous appearance on stage…

What would Alex’s podium celebration song be?

Albono was asked by a member of the audience what his celebration song will be when he next finishes on the podium — and after some deliberation our Thai racer gave a surprising answer!
“Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan, that’s like my go-to,” he laughed.
“Lily and I, we’ve been going to a karaoke place the last two nights and Chappell Roan’s been one of the top songs that we’ve been singing. So yeah, Pink Pony Club [could be my podium song].”

Top team-mate

AA23 has worked with a number of other drivers throughout his spells with Toro Rosso, Red Bull and Atlassian Williams Racing, but he has particularly enjoyed teaming up with Carlos Sainz this season.
“Carlos, clearly [is my favourite]!” Alex said. “I’ve had a lot of good team-mates, but I feel like Carlos and I have been getting on really well this year.
“I hope you can see that we have a really good relationship. We’re obviously focused on the team and so we work really well together. But I love all my team-mates, I feel like we’ve always had a great relationship.”

Go-to comfort food

When quizzed on his favourite comfort food when away from home, it didn’t take Alex long to think of his favourite dish!
“Obviously I’m Thai, so pad kaphrao is my go-to. I love spicy food, and when we’re in Europe it’s difficult to eat Asian foods.
“So for me, anywhere I can eat Asian food, that’s my go-to. In the south of France, like Monaco, it’s so bad, so it’s not easy!”

Race recovery

There’s nothing particularly complex about Alex’s recovery process after a race weekend, as he revealed on stage in Singapore.
“I would say that, for me, recovery is pretty simple… I just like to stay at home and watch Netflix!” Albono explained.
“I find it quite tricky, because when we’re on the road so much, it can be quite a lot — the cameras, and a lot of things going on.
“So when I’m at home I just want to do nothing. I’m like a couch potato! A lot of Youtube, a lot of TikTok and some Netflix as well.”

Red Bull vs Williams

What’s the difference between driving a Red Bull car and getting behind the wheel for Atlassian Williams Racing?
Alex was candid with his answer, but he did express a preference for his current team’s vehicles — even if the differences are relatively minor.
“The biggest differences are really small things. It’s the way the cars drive, but it’s really hard to explain without boring anyone!
“Just like hitting different golf clubs, or having a different tennis racket or having different shoes, it always feels different. Even though you’re doing the same thing, it feels slightly different to play or to drive.
“So, for me, the Red Bull car versus the Williams car… actually, for me I find the Williams car quite nice to drive.
“I found the Red Bull car… in many ways I struggled a little bit more to drive it than the Williams car.
“But I think that’s also experience — I feel like now I’ve spent so many years driving a Williams car and getting used to Formula 1, that I’ve been able to design the car to suit me better.”
