Alex has committed his long-term future to current team, Williams Racing, signing a new multi-year contract extension that will take them into the new era of F1 regulations together.
Since returning to F1 in 2022, Albono has been integral to the upwards trajectory of Williams over the past two years, leading them for points in his maiden season with the team, and flourishing under the new leadership of James Vowles to score 27 points that would guide them to P7 in the 2023 Constructors’ Championship.
The long-term contract extension demonstrates a continued shared faith from our No.23 and Williams, in both the future progress of the team and Alex’s talent as a driver.
Speaking on the renewal, Alex said, “I am incredibly happy to be remaining with Williams Racing and to continue working with such a talented and dedicated team of people.
“It has been a difficult start to the year but since joining Williams we have made significant progress together and I have seen the huge changes happening behind the scenes to take us back to the front of the grid.
“This is a long-term project that I really believe in and want to play a key role in which is why I have signed a multi-year contract.
“The journey will take time but I am confident we are building the right team to move forward and achieve great things in the years to come.”
