Alex Albon's summer break begins after a long Sunday of racing around Budapest's Hungaroring from the back row.
After qualifying in P20, Alex started the race from P19 due to Yuki Tsunoda starting from the pit lane to slightly reduce the number of cars in front.
Opting for the Soft tyre and an aggressive strategy, Alex made the most of his additional grip at lights out and advanced three places in a single lap.
He briefly reached P15 in a battle with Esteban Ocon, but had to cede the place as the Haas driver fought hard to stay ahead in the opening lap.

The race then settled down, and Alex sat on the rear wing of the Frenchman throughout the first stint in a long DRS train behind Fernando Alonso in P5.
Nico Hulkenberg, another Soft-starting driver, chased Alex and became the first driver to pit, but had picked up a time penalty for jumping the start.
Hulkenberg's penalty hadn't arrived by his early stop, and the Sauber leapfrogged the long line of cars behind Alonso by running in clean air once everyone else stopped.
That included Alex, whose Lap 16 trip to the pits for Mediums had him drop to P18 and one position behind the sister Williams FW47 of Carlos Sainz.
Positions soon came Albono's way as other midfield runners took their first pit stops, and Alex gradually rose to P13 before making a second and final stop for Hards on Lap 40.
The final stint had more overtakes, both through strategy and with brave moves, that helped Alex recover positions after dropping back to P18.
Hulkenberg's penalty came into play as the German stopped before and dropped to P19, chasing Alex down on Mediums.
A convergence of the leaders coming to lap the pack and the midfielders' various strategies had team orders to let Sainz through, who had passed Hulkenberg on track.
The Sauber's softer tyres had Hulkenberg back ahead, though, as the German racer went around the outside of Turn 1 for P17.
Undeterred, Alex turned the opening corner into his hunting grounds, passing Pierre Gasly for P16, then Ocon for P15 in the closing laps to cross the line four positions higher than he started.
"Well done, Alex," came the call from James Vowles over the radio on the in-lap.
"Tough day today. We've got some really good races coming for us after the August break.
"We'll sit down and figure out why these tracks were not good enough, but thank you for everything today.
"Thank you for this first half of the season. Well done."
Alex replied in kind, saying, "Yes, thank you, James. Thanks, everyone. A tough start to the summer break.
"But we've shown we can have good results. We'll figure it out."
Full reaction to follow.
