Alex racked up 200 laps during pre-season testing, as our Thai racer enjoyed a productive few days in Sakhir.
Albono’s time in at the Bahrain International Circuit concluded on Friday, following a second stint behind the wheel of Atlassian Williams Racing’s FW47.
And 137 of AA23’s laps were recorded on his final day in the Middle East — allowing him to really get to grips with his new car ahead of the coming campaign.
It was broadly a positive experience for Alex, despite some testing conditions, as he alluded to after completing his second session.
“Day three done with! It was a tricky day,” he explained.
“I don’t know what it was like for the other drivers, but the morning was really difficult with the wind, and we didn’t really get much of a rhythm.
“We had a couple of issues on the car which delayed things as well, so we were struggling a little bit to get going.
“Finally, we got a good long run in and a decent low-ish performance run style, ending the day with some more long runs. So, all in all, I’m positive.
“I do think we need to look at some data with a couple of areas we need to focus on.
“The good thing is, we know where the lap time is and I don’t think it’s that hard to achieve, so we’ll do some work around that and get ready for Melbourne!”
The Williams team will have just under two weeks to iron out any issues with the FW47, before Round 1 gets under way.
All eyes now turn to the Albert Park Circuit on 14th-16th March, when the 2025 season kicks off at the Australian Grand Prix!
