Alex Albon scored his first point of the 2026 Formula One season with a P10 finish in the Miami Grand Prix.
Starting on the Mediums from P15 after Isack Hadjar was disqualified from Qualifying, Alex had a clean launch off the line.
Wise driving kept him out of trouble while the field bunched up at Turn 2 to avoid a spinning Max Verstappen and Alex had jumped up to P10 by the end of the opening tour.
Those Lap 1 passes on Pierre Gasly and Carlos Sainz saw Albono facing the rear wing of Liam Lawson on Lap 4.
Mounting pressure on the Racing Bulls car worked well, with Lawson locking up at Turn 17, allowing an opening into Turn 1, which Alex promptly took advantage of for P9.
Choas soon struck around the Miami International Autodrome with multiple incidents triggering a Safety Car.
Hadjar found the wall, while Lawson hit Gasly, flipping the Alpine into the barriers. With Nico Hulkenberg also retiring, all four of the race's DNFs came in quick succession.
The restart saw Alex managing a vibration and a tight midfield fight with Franco Colapinto and the two Haas cars sandwiching Alex and teammate Sainz.
Running as high as P8 thanks to Verstappen taking an early stop, Albono slowly slipped back to P10.
Sainz fought by at Turn 10, and Verstappen's recovery drive had him battle through Turn 17 and into Turn 1.
A threat of rain hung over the race, and the team opted to pit Alex once a very light shower passed by.
Switching to Hard tyres by the end of Lap 27, Alex swiftly passed the yet-to-stop Arvid Lindblad and settled back to P10 after others made their mandatory tyre changes.
Sainz had steadily opened a gap ahead, Ollie Bearman kept the fight going behind. Alex held his nerve, though, and kept the Haas at bay.
Although Bearman did get within one second at some points, a mistake from the Briton ended Alex's need to check his mirrors, and he could manage his remaining laps to see out P10.
