Alex Albon is gearing up for the sole South American trip of the season as Formula 1 heads to Brazil for Round 21.
The Autódromo José Carlos Pace, better known as Interlagos, is one of the most iconic and old-school circuits on the calendar. Its short lap, dramatic elevation changes and passionate crowd make for one of the most atmospheric weekends of the year.
“In the gap between races we’ve been busy debriefing everything as a team in order to get on top of some of the issues we’ve experienced in recent weekends,” Alex said.
“This will be especially important in Brazil as it’s a Sprint with only one practice session. With limited track time, we’ll go back to a more familiar setup approach and run fewer experiments than we have been doing.
“Interlagos is a great track, I always enjoy the old-school elements and driving here in front of the passionate fans. We’ll need to be agile and prepared for the unpredictable Brazilian weather across the weekend. There are just four races remaining, and I’m looking forward to finishing strong and hopefully adding to our points tally!”
Ready to race at an iconic venue...
With the Sprint format returning, there will be just one practice session before Sprint Quali on Friday, followed by the Sprint and Qualifying on Saturday and the São Paulo Grand Prix on Sunday.
