It’s been a successful July for Alex, who enjoyed points-scoring performances at Silverstone and Spa over the last month.
A P8 finish at the home of British motor racing got Albono’s campaign back up and running after a trio of DNFs in from Rounds 9-11, before he secured an impressive P6 placing in Belgium on Sunday.
And our Thai racer was also busy away from the track, appearing at Atlassian Williams Racing’s London Fan Zone and even taking part in the Evian Championship Pro-Am.
After an action-packed few weeks, here’s what’s coming up for AA23 in August…
1st-3rd August: Hungarian Grand Prix
Alex will be hoping to continue his recent upward trajectory at the Hungarian GP this weekend.
The 29-year-old is in the midst of a memorable season, having finished in the top 10 on nine occasions and racking up a personal tally of 54 points to date.
A visit to Mogyoród offers a chance to add to that number, though the demanding Hungaroring is sure to present plenty of challenges — from limited overtaking opportunities to a surface that often gets grippier as the weekend progresses.
Albono can nonetheless be confident of securing his first points on the outskirts of Budapest with Williams, after such commendable displays in Rounds 12 and 13.
He’ll be hoping to draw inspiration from earlier in his career, too — after placing P10 and P5 in Pest County with Toro Rosso and Red Bull Racing, in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
4th-28th August: Summer break
It’s been an intense first part of the 2025 Formula 1 campaign, but fans and drivers alike can look forward to some rest and relaxation later this month!
That’s because the summer shutdown kicks in for two weeks in August, when teams have to stop working on the design, development and production of their cars for 14 consecutive days.
In terms of Grands Prix, there’s a lengthy gap between the conclusion of the Hungarian GP on 3rd August and the resumption of racing in Zandvoort on 29th August.
29th-31st August: Dutch Grand Prix
Alex will return from a well-earned break at the tail end of the month, to take part in the Dutch Grand Prix at Circuit Zandvoort.
This historical coastal venue is a wonderful blend of tradition and modern upgrades — famed for its banked, high-speed corners, narrow track and general rollercoaster-like nature.
Despite only returning to the F1 calendar in 2021, Albono can look back with fondness on his visit to North Holland in 2023 (as pictured above).
AA23 secured a P8 finish on that occasion while racing for Williams — and will harbour hopes of equalling or bettering that result when this season’s edition rolls around in a few weeks’ time.
