Alex Albon is set for the second half of the double header as Formula 1 travels to Mexico City for Round 20 of the 2025 season.
The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is one of the most distinctive circuits on the calendar, sitting more than 2,200 metres above sea level. The high altitude means thinner air, which affects both car and human performance, creating a unique challenge for teams and drivers alike.
“I’m looking forward to heading to Mexico City and finishing the double header strong,” Alex said.
“The track in Mexico is very different, partially because of the altitude, and the stadium section is one of the best to drive through on the F1 calendar.
“The last few races have been messy, so our priority will be to keep each session clean, minimise risks and work well as a team.”
The Foro Sol is one of the most impressive sights in Formula 1
With a normal Grand Prix weekend format returning, Alex and the team will have three practice sessions to get comfortable before Qualifying on Saturday and Sunday’s race.
You can follow all of Alex’s progress across the Mexico City Grand Prix weekend via our live blog on the AA23 website and app.
Free Practice 1 begins on Friday at 12.30pm local time (CST), followed by FP2 at 4pm. FP3 takes place on Saturday morning at 11.30am, with Qualifying at 3pm. The Mexico City Grand Prix gets underway at 2pm on Sunday.
