This weekend we're winding the clock back to Round 3 of the 2024 season, with the release of Alex's Australian GP stamp.
Here's everything behind the latest design...
The Australian GP stamp design features the Koala, a beloved symbol of Australia, sitting cheerfully with large round eyes and a friendly expression, sporting a green AA23 t-shirt.
It's one of Australia's most iconic and beloved animals, often representing the country in tourism and pop culture.
Its friendly and approachable appearance here appeals to a wide audience, particularly Formula 1 fans who may have a fondness for mascots that tie into local identity.
The oversized head, simplified lines, and large eyes give the koala a cartoon-like charm that makes it feel accessible and fun, resonating with both adults and younger fans.
The colour scheme — soft grey for the koala and green for the shirt — aligns with a natural, earthy tone that complements Australia’s natural landscape.
