Find out how Alex is feeling ahead of taking on the iconic Spa-Francorchamps

After a demanding run of races, Alex heads to Belgium for Round 10 of the 2026 Formula 1 championship at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

Known for its dramatic elevation changes and unpredictable weather conditions, Spa is often regarded as one of the toughest tracks of the season. Having scored points here at four previous outings, Alex will be looking to build on that tally as the summer break nears.

His thoughts:

“Spa is always one of the highlights of the season for me. It's such a cool track to drive and one of those proper old-school circuits.”

“There aren't many places like it on the calendar anymore, so it's always a weekend I look forward to and one of the tracks that has good overtaking opportunities.”

“It's been nice to have some time back at the factory and to dig into the data from the past few weeks with the team. Everyone's been pushing hard behind the scenes, so hopefully we can put that work to good use this weekend.”

“Full push ahead for the final two races before summer break, we need to maximise every opportunity we get.”

The track:

Nestled in the hills and forests of the Ardennes region, Spa-Francorchamps is currently the longest circuit on the calendar. At 7.004km, the track features 19 corners and a 102.2m elevation change between its highest and lowest point. Even the most experienced drivers are pushed to their limits during the 44 lap Grand Prix due to the sustained high G-forces encountered on the way up to Raidillon.

Spa has delivered several standout moments during Alex’s Formula 1 career. He secured P5 on his first appearance in 2019 and has since three other points finishing races.
