Calling all AA23 fans – it’s time to get behind Alex Albon and vote for one of the standout moves of recent seasons!

F1 has shortlisted Alex’s incredible double overtake at the 2024 Canadian Grand Prix for its “Best Overtake of the Last 5 Seasons,” putting the move back in the spotlight against some of the sport’s very best.

Originally earning Overtake of the Month honours in June 2024, the move came during a dramatic, drying race in Montreal. Running P11, Alex closed rapidly on Daniel Ricciardo through Turn 10 and onto the back straight.

With DRS unavailable due to the conditions, our No.23 relied on pure racecraft and slipstream to draw alongside. As Esteban Ocon slowed ahead into the final chicane, Alex committed to an ever-tightening gap – threading the needle between both cars with precision.

In a matter of seconds, he vaulted from P11 to P9 in a move that had commentator Jolyon Palmer hailing it as “one of the great moves.”
