Alex enjoyed his return to action following the summer break, as he secured a P5 finish in Sunday’s Dutch GP.
And he’ll be hoping to build on that impressive showing at Circuit Zandvoort, when he takes to the track for two more races in September.
As our Thai racer continues to enjoy his best season since joining Atlassian Williams Racing, here’s what he’s got to look forward to this month…

5th-7th September: Italian Grand Prix

Albono will be raring to get back behind the wheel of the FW47 after his successful stint in the Netherlands — and he doesn’t have long to wait.
A second consecutive race weekend is coming up, when AA23 heads to Lombardy for the Italian GP from this Friday.
There are few more exciting venues than the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. It’s known as ‘the temple of speed’ and for good reason, as the fastest track in Formula 1.
Long straights and high-speed corners define this historic circuit, which was hosting races even before the inaugural 1950 world championship.
Alex has earned points on three previous visits to Monza, twice with Williams — in 2022 (P7) and 2024 (P9) — and once for Red Bull Racing, when he placed P6 back in 2019.
He’ll be hoping for a repeat of those displays when Round 16 gets underway.

19th-21st September: Azerbaijan Grand Prix

Alex will also have fond memories from a recent trip to Azerbaijan, having finished P7 there last season.
Albono’s upcoming stint at the Baku City Circuit looks like another good opportunity to add to his points tally, then, at one of Formula 1’s most intriguing venues.
This street track is notoriously unpredictable and features a remarkably long straight, which typically results in high speeds and ambitious overtakes.
Add in a combination of slow and fast corners — and an eye-catching setting on the shore of the Caspian Sea — and it’s not hard to see why we could be in for an enjoyable Azerbaijan GP midway through the month.

Looking further ahead

The business end of the season is most certainly drawing into view, with just seven races remaining once September’s action has concluded.
There are no further Grands Prix in Europe, as the campaign briefly moves to Southeast Asia for the Singapore GP (3rd-5th October), before switching to the Americas for four successive stops on the calendar.
Stints in Austin (17th-19th October) and Mexico City (24th-26th October) will be followed by visits to São Paulo (7th-9th November) and Las Vegas (21st-23rd November).
Then it’s over to the Middle East for the final two races of 2025, with the Qatar GP (28th-30th December) and the Abu Dhabi GP (5th-7th December) bringing the curtain down on 2025.
Let’s hope there are plenty more points on offer for Alex between now and the end of the year!
