Just a few days remain until Alex returns to Formula 1 action — and there is plenty to be excited about in the weeks and months ahead.
The campaign resumes with a trip to the seaside, when AA23 travels to Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix.
He will be hoping to recreate last year’s performance in the Netherlands, having finished P8 on his previous visit to the rollercoaster-like track.
Albono also has positive memories of driving in Monza, so should be looking forward to challenging himself at the Temple of Speed in Round 16.
A P7 placing at the 2023 Italian Grand Prix offers hope of finishing in the points again this time around.
The winding street circuit of Baku’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix swiftly follows September’s trip to Italy, before we head to Asia for the spectacular Singapore Grand Prix.
Alex will be wearing a unique
Naga-themed helmet
for that night race — and he can draw inspiration from a P6 finish at the Marina Bay Street Circuit back in 2019, while driving for Red Bull Racing.A three-week break then presents an opportunity for some rest and relaxation, ahead of the United States Grand Prix in October. That visit to Austin will be AA23's 100th Grand Prix start.
He has certainly enjoyed this high-speed track in the past, having picked up points there in both 2019 (P5) and 2023 (P9).
And it was a similar story at last season’s Mexico City Grand Prix, when he claimed ninth place at the high altitude Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.
November will see Alex enjoy a South American sojourn at São Paulo’s Brazilian Grand Prix in São Paulo, ahead of our third stateside stint of the campaign.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix returned to Formula 1 last year and did not disappoint, with the neon-filled night race adding another dose of glamour to the F1 calendar.
Having qualified in P6 in 2023, Albono will be hoping to secure his first points in Sin City this season.
An action-packed year concludes with a Middle Eastern double-header — first the Qatar Grand Prix, then the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where Alex enjoyed success in 2019 (P6) and 2020 (P4).
He will undoubtedly be hoping for a similarly fruitful weekend at the Yas Marina Circuit, to close out 2024 in style.
