Spa has been a happy hunting ground for Alex in the past, so he’ll be confident of more success at this year’s Belgian Grand Prix.
Albono secured a point in Belgium as recently as 2022 — finishing 10th during his maiden season as a Williams Racing driver.
And his previous visits to the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps were similarly fruitful.
Alex placed P5 in his first ever Formula 1 race with Red Bull Racing back in 2019, before achieving a P6 finish two years later.
Williams’ FW46 certainly has the potential to perform well on this iconic track, with its high-speed corners and dramatic elevation changes.
It is the longest track of the Formula 1 season, spanning 7.004 km (4.352 miles) — and includes a total of 20 turns.
The La Source hairpin and Eau Rouge-Raidillon complex make for an exciting start to each lap, before the chance to get alongside any competitors on the long Kemmel Straight.
Sector 2 then sees a downhill run through Les Combes, Bruxelles, Pouhon and into Stavelot, followed by the thrilling high speeds of Sector 3.
There is sure to be plenty of excitement this weekend, then, as Alex looks to add to his points total before the upcoming summer shutdown.
