Alex is in positive sprints ahead of the Belgium GP — and is relishing the opportunity to return to the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps tomorrow.
Our Thai racer has excelled during previous outings in the Ardennes forest, having recorded a trio of top-10 finishes across his spells with Red Bull Racing and Atlassian Williams Racing.
The most recent of those came back in 2022, when he took the FW44 to 10th place in Stavelot.
And AA23 will be keen to put in a similar — or improved — performance at one of his favourite Formula 1 venues.
"Spa is one of the highlights of the racing calendar so I’m looking forward to getting back out there this weekend," he said.
"It’s always an exciting and unpredictable race, and it’s a track we’ve generally been strong at, so I’m feeling positive."
Albono is coming off the back of a P8 placing in Silverstone earlier this month, so will hope to continue building momentum after that commendable result.
But the team have made the most of two consecutive weekends away from the track, as Alex explained:
"We’ve had a short break between Silverstone and Spa to reset and better understand the car, bringing together the learnings from the last few races.
"It’s good to see some upgrades coming to the car which will hopefully help us see out the first half of the season on a strong note."
There's plenty of optimism, then, for what should be an exciting Round 13 of the campaign.
