Alex will be targeting a return to the point-scoring positions when he heads to Singapore this weekend.
Our Thai racer produced a commendable climb from P19 to P13 last time out, but wasn’t quite able to break into the top 10 at the Baku City Circuit.
A visit to the Garden City offers AA23 the perfect opportunity to claim his 12th haul of 2025, however, having already put an impressive 70 points on the board in 2025.
Albono currently sits eighth in the Drivers’ Standings as a result — and could climb a place to seventh with a positive result in Round 18.

Previous visits to Singapore

Alex’s first-ever stint at the Marina Bay Street Circuit proved to be a productive one, as he placed P6 there with Red Bull Racing in just his third Grand Prix with the team.
But the 29-year-old is yet to repeat that 2019 success, having finished outside of the points during three visits with Williams.
He came agonisingly close in 2023, though — finishing P11, much to Albono’s frustration.
“It should have been P8 today,” he explained after the race. “We were running in a good position and had a great strategy.
“We did expect a safety car to come in around that period and we saved the new Medium set of tyres for that situation, which paid dividends in the race.
“We had a really good evening, we were coming up through the pack and were in P9 and getting close to Liam [Lawson].
“We most likely needed a couple more laps to get past him but then I had contact with Checo [Pérez] after he went for, in my opinion, a very optimistic manoeuvre and that was me out of the points.”
Alex will hope to finally get off the mark with Williams in Singapore when this season’s race gets underway.

Track guide

There are few more visually striking venues in Formula 1 than the Marina Bay Street Circuit — Asia’s first street track and home of the sport’s original night race.
Set against the city-state’s captivating skyline, this circuit passes a host of eye-catching landmarks as it twists through 19 corners and across a distance of 4.94 km (3.07 miles).
High speeds, tight corners and technical challenges are the order of the day, beginning with DRS zones in Sector 1 before heading into a more technical Sector 2.
The track’s final overtaking spot then emerges in the third sector, ahead of a heavy braking zone and past the iconic Singapore Flyer to complete a lap.

Stay up to date

As always, the best place to follow Alex’s progress in Singapore is on the AA23 website and app.
Our live blog will be covering all the action, starting at 5.30pm local time (SGT) on Friday for Free Practice 1.
Then it’s FP2 later that day at 9pm, before Free Practice 3 (5.30pm) and Qualifying (9pm) on Saturday.
Finally, the weekend’s main event gets underway on Sunday at 8pm SGT.
