Alex will be looking to build on an impressive performance in Azerbaijan when he heads to Singapore this weekend.
AA23 achieved his best result of the season at the Baku City Circuit, finishing P7 and picking up six points in the process.
Sunday’s success also means that Albono has secured points in consecutive race weeks, having placed P9 in Monza earlier this month.
He will be targeting three top-ten finishes in a row, then, at the Singapore Grand Prix.
That would represent an improvement on last year’s P11 in the Garden City, though a sixth-place finish with Red Bull Racing back in 2019 remains his best performance at this venue.
The venue in question is the spectacular Marina Bay Street Circuit — set against the Singaporean skyline and passing a host of the city-state’s landmarks.
As Formula 1’s first ever night race following its introduction in 2008, the Singapore GP has always been one of the most unique and exciting events on the calendar.
Stretching across 4.940 km (3.070 miles) and with 19 turns, the Marina Bay Street Circuit’s high-speed sections, tight corners and technical challenges require plenty of concentration.
DRS zones in Sector 1 precede Sector 2’s technical section, before Sector 3 contains the last overtaking spot on the track and a heavy braking zone.
With plenty of challenges to navigate, Alex will need to be at his best once again in Round 17 of the campaign.
